Stewardship 2027

Jesus promises us, “In my Father’s house there are many dwelling places” (John 14:2). We hear in these words a promise that God’s love is wide enough to hold us all, and an invitation to make room for one another in holy community.

A stewardship campaign is necessarily about financial gifts. Just as importantly, it is about relationships: the ways we are connected to God, one another, and our neighbors. Our giving makes those relationships tangible, strengthening the community we share and extending its welcome to others.

Our cathedral budget is one way we tell the story of these relationships. As St. John’s enters a new century of ministry, each pledge and gift sustains our common life: children growing in faith, students finding a home church, neighbors receiving meals and care, worshippers being welcomed, friends finding hope, and a future we will envision together. Our budget is more than numbers; it is a reflection of our values and our mission.

Our congregation has grown in generosity over the past several years, and we are deeply grateful for your faithfulness as individuals and as a community. This is more than an appeal for funds. It is an invitation to celebrate our place in God’s household, to make room for others, and to live more fully into God’s abundance. As 1 John 3:18 reminds us, we are called to love not only in word, but in action and in truth.

We invite you to consider the relationships that have sustained you at St. John’s and how your pledge can help extend that welcome to others. Please submit your pledge by Ingathering Sunday, November 22, 2026. On that day, we will gather our commitments as an expression of gratitude, hope, and shared dedication to the life and ministry God has entrusted to us.
