The Altar Guild is a group of women and men who are called to serve God by tending and preparing the places where we worship. The Altar Guild enables the congregation to worship by having the priestly vestments, the chalice, the candles, linens, and everything else needed for use during the liturgy prepared and clean for each service. This work goes on quietly behind the scenes; it is a ministry of love undertaken in the name of Christ, and it is done with a great deal of pride.
Not only does the Altar Guild prepare the worship space, but they also strive to retain the traditions of the church through worship and prayer. We stand on the faith of those who have come before us, and we strive to honor that faith and tradition in our service to the community as an act of sacrifice and worship to God.
