Spirituality of the Soil: Sunday March 8, 2020 at 12:30 pm: Ecological systems designer Nance Klehm talks about the powerful connection between the health of our soil and our own health and the health of our communities. The Lenten season calls upon us to consider the soil. We are all mortal, and will return to the soil, but new life also springs forth from the soil in the great circle of life. Soil is not mere dirt, but a living system--God's engine for regeneration on this planet. Following the talk join her for an optional workshop on vermicomposting—you will go home with your own worm bin! Lecture is free, but the worm-shop is $30 and you must preregister so we can provide your materials. Financial aid is available.
Breaking Bread: On Thursday, March 19 members of St. John's will host dinners in their homes in several geographical locations and a small group will gather to share a meal and pray together. The meal will be potluck and we ask that you sign up for a particular location and let us know what you will bring. RSVPs will be required. Locations will be announced soon.
Instructed Eucharist: Saturday, March 21, find out more about the elements of our liturgy with an opportunity to ask questions. A light breakfast will be served.
