Banner Re-design: Following last week’s forum, we will be hosting another discussion about the sign on the front of the church. After receiving feedback, we want to discern together how our sign can address the twin issues of white supremacy and gun violence. Join us after the 10am mass Sunday, August 18th.
August 11 & 18 | Sundays | 9 & 11:00 a.m.
Cards and Flowers for Mother Gwynne: Cards are available today to sign for Mo. Gwynne Guibord. The church will be providing flowers to send along with the cards after we have collected signatures. Please show your love and support for Mo. Gwynne and her work through the Guibord Center!

DTLA Proud: The Downtown Proud festival is Friday, August 23 through Sunday, August 25. We need volunteers to run the booth! Sing up at the welcome table today a few hours throughout that weekend. Laundry Love: Join St. John’s the last Wednesday of every month (August 28) at Los Lavanderos, 4371 Melrose Ave., for one of the diocese’s most creative and meaningful ministries. We wash and dry laundry for people with financial needs. There are fewer things more important to someone self-image than clean clothes—and it is so often overlooked among service providers. See Deacon Fernando for if you have any questions.

Prayer Requests: On the welcome table each week you can find a place to leave confidential prayer requests. These are prayed for every week by our Rosary Group between masses—a group you can join! My St. John’s on Facebook: Did you know we have a closed Facebook group where the members of our church community post thoughts, articles, prayers, and pictures? Join the conversation by following this link to Facebook for "My St. John’s Cathedral Group." If you want to see more from St. John’s online, don’t forget to follow us on Twitter and Instagram @stjohnsla
Altar Flowers: You can directly contribute to the beauty of worship at St. John’s by signing up to provide altar flowers for a simple donation of $75—the Flower Guild will do that hard part! Sign up at church today.
