We hope you continue to celebrate the Easter feast. While Lent is forty days, Easter is fifty. The festivities continue this Sunday as we welcome a guest choir from Queens College, Oxford, England to our 1100 mass. We hope our St. John’s community will turn out in force to welcome them.
We especially want to thank everyone who gave so abundantly of their time, talent, and treasure to make Holy Week and Easter so amazing. There are many needs and opportunities we have throughout the year to make our Cathedral welcoming and our worship beautiful. Every single person in our community might consider how they might best contribute to our common life. At this time, we especially need people to help with the altar guild, setting up for our services. Also if you have skills in technology and could help with media or audio we could use your gifts. Our ushers and choir and other liturgical guilds can always use more folks. On Maundy Thursday we washed one another’s feet-- a sign of our mutual service. Let’s continue that work throughout the year.
A very blessed Eastertide to you. May our risen Lord give you the gift of joyful and abundant life.
