We are stronger together as a community of love in Christ. We are so glad we have each other, especially at this time. We celebrate this reality this weekend. First on Saturday evening, our Harvest Dinner begins at 6:00 pm in the garden with drinks. Dinner will be served in the cathedral at 7:00. If you have not reserved your place, please let us know so we can make a place at the table for you. (Tickets are $20.00 per person to help offset the cost of the meal). This is an opportunity to meet and break bread, to reflect on the past year and look ahead to the year to come.
It also is the celebration of our fall pledge campaign. If you have already made a financial pledge for 2017, thank you. If you still have not received your card, they will be available at the dinner. The following day, we will offer and bless all the cards we have received to date at both masses. We celebrate at 11:00 with Choral Matins and Holy Communion. This wonderful service using poetic traditional language with beautiful music from our choir will be the culmination of the past several weeks where we have focused on our identity as the community of Christ's love embodied at St. John's.
This community exists because all of us participate in giving our time, our talent, and our financial resources to make it a reality. We invite you to step out in faith and make a pledge to the ongoing work of our congregation in the coming year. Please join us in giving what you are able to contribute as a spiritual sacrifice to the glory of God and to further Christ's mission at St. John's.
