Breaking Bread Together (Small group fellowship)
Breaking Bread together centers around home-based gatherings that meet every two months around a meal to strengthen and give birth to renewed community at St. John’s. Our gatherings invite reflection on how community brings new life for the individual, the church, and our neighbors. For more information, contact Michael Foley at smallgroups@stjohnsla.org
Camping and Hiking group
The Camping and Hiking Group takes two camping trips during the summer months to either a beach or mountain site. This past year, for example, we spent a weekend at two favorite locations: Sage Hill near Santa Barbara and Buttercup in Big Bear. We also take a few Los Angeles-area hikes throughout the year. Anyone is welcome to join us, and camping or hiking experience is not a requirement! Contact camping@stjohnsla.org for more information.

Cathedral Events Guild and Docents
The Cathedral Events Guild supports Cathedral special events and diocesan services such as confirmations and ordinations by staffing the welcome table, hosting receptions, ushering, etc. Most services and events take place on Saturdays. New members are gratefully welcomed. Docents lead tours of our landmark building, highlighting the architecture, art, and history of St. John’s. This is another great way to provide welcome to the extended community. Contact Walter Killmer at cathedralguild@stjohnsla.org

We will train you and provide you with everything you need to perform these tasks, and they are open to everyone! Contact Fr. Dan Ade at frdan@stjohnsla.org for more information.

Anyone interested in exploring the faith is welcome. Contact Fr. Dan Ade at frdan@stjohnsla.org for more details.
